AgroBioTek is the authorized Distributor of Colilert® and Colisure® products, manufactured by IDEXX Laboratories. These are products that use Defined Substrate Technology (DST®) and are used more than any other method world wide for detection and differentiation of coliforms and E.coli in water. Colilert® and Colisure® are available in two presentations: a) a qualitative format: that detects in 24 hours the presence or absence of total and fecal coliforms; ideal for determination of the drinking quality of water in rural areas, and b) a quantitative format: equivalent to the membrane filtration method and most probable number, which determines and quantifies the presence of total and fecal coliforms in 24 hours; recommended for water bottling business and water treatment plants.

Both formats have official approvals (EPA, AOAC, IBWA and EBWA) and are the only microbiological commercial methods included in the 20th Edition of “Standard Methods of Examination of Water and Wastewater”.

In addition, AgroBioTek distributes products for the detection of enterococci, heterotrofic bacteria’s (with EPA approval), cryptosporidium and Giardia in water; as well as determining total free chloride in water.
