International Seminars, in strategic alliance with GCL Capacita, S.A. PDF  | Print |  E-mail

With the purpose of widening the range of training courses for the personnel of the food industry of Latin America, AgroBioTek started in 2007 a South-South Alliance with GCL Capacita, S.A., a member of Fundación Chile. GCL is a Chilean entity that since its creation in 1998 has worked to improve the labor competitiveness of professional, technicians and operators of the agro-food industries (http://www.gcl.cl/). GCL has given to date 2,000 courses and trained 44,000 people. As member of Fundación Chile, GCL Capacita, S.A. shares much of the success that the Republic of Chile has had in exporting quality food products to many countries in the world, and being recognized as a premier food exporting country in Latin-America.

The strategic alliance initiated between GCL and AgroBioTek relies on the shared belief that success in the production, processing and commercialization of safe and quality food, based on a food safety management system, has as its foundation, the training and education of its personnel. The years of experience of AgroBioTek and GCL in training personnel for the food industry, coupled with our conviction that theoretical knowledge and everyday practice must be integrated, has allowed us to develop a joint program and learning process focused on transferring theoretical knowledge into everyday work practices.
